How the K-1 Visa Process Works

The fiancé visa process moves through several federal agencies before a visa is issued. Understanding each stage helps you prepare the right documents at the right time.

File Form I-129F with USCIS: The U.S. citizen petitioner files the Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) along with supporting documents and the filing fee.
